Developments
The school was built in 1938 on a site adjacent to the old school. It was originally a separate boys and girls school but evolved into the one school. Various improvements were carried out in the school at this time and in the intervening years. In more recent years the Board of Management commenced a programme of improvements to the school to modernise and enhance facilities in the school. A new classroom and staff room were completed in 2010 and a new heating system installed. The entrance area and front lawn of the school were also upgraded. More recently in 2019, a new SEN room was completed, the school field was drained and re-seeded and a new tarmacced play area has been created in 2021.
